Located in the heart of downtown Hamilton, on the site of an old 19th century barn, Honeycomb is a fresh take on the vernacular barns of New England. The client’s inspiration image of a French cafe was interpreted here by using bright blue trim on the front facade. Two covered porches flank the main entrance to allow a place for a casual seat outside. Inside, the dark, antique floors run throughout the space, contrasting the bright colors of the hexagonal tiles. Classic touches of marble and whitewashed pine walls lend to the timelessness of the space. Inside and out, it feels as if it has always been a part of downtown Hamilton; offering a pleasant streetscape and communal gathering place for a small town.
