Jean Verbridge Inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame
SV Design is exuberant to announce founding principal Jean Verbridge, ASID, IIDA, has been inducted into the New England Design Hall of Fame. The awards gala was held on November 11th at The InterContinental Boston by New England Home. A panel of distinguished design professionals selected inductees. Those chosen have remarkable careers in the residential design industry.
Jean is a visionary, leader, mentor, interior designer, and businessperson, whose expertise and creative mind have impacted the North Shore, New England, and beyond. With a design career spanning over four decades, she has a breadth of experience in interior design and décor ranging from residential to large commercial and corporate projects. Jean's career started with corporate design and transitioned to a mix of commercial and residential projects after renovating her own house in the early 1990s. She established herself as a residential and commercial interior designer on the North Shore. Her appreciation for details and passion for involving interior design in the early stages of the creative process led her to team up with architect Thaddeus S Siemasko and, in 1999, to cofound Siemasko + Verbridge, an architecture and interiors firm headquartered in Beverly, Massachusetts. Jean and Thad have focused on private residences, country clubs, corporate spaces, yacht clubs, academic institutions, affordable housing, and multi-family projects. The powerhouse duo has grown the firm's client list from the North Shore to Cape Cod, New England, Florida, and Colorado.
Jean exemplifies the essence of interior designers as creators of space, not procurers of objects. She is committed to the concept of seamlessly integrating architecture and interior design to produce a project that enhances the spirit of the client and improves their quality of life. Jean has continuously mentored interior designers and architects within the firm. She values passing on her expertise to others, as they are the future of the industry and the firm. With what started with a handful of staff, the firm has grown to a collaborative and dynamic firm of over forty professionals through Jean's and Thad's leadership. In recent years, Jean and Thad have welcomed a new generation to join them in leading SV Design, Siemasko + Verbridge: architects Tobin Shulman, Leslie Schneeberger, Jen Hocherman, and operations and financial professional Theresa Thompson. Clients rave about the firm, which has a following with both residential and commercial clients. The firm prides itself on repeat and referral clients, many of whom come back to refresh their space or transform another home. Thad and Jean have led the way in collaborative design through their practice of architecture and interior design and have created a legacy for years to come.
