As a non-profit dedicated to providing services to area families in Gloucester and surrounding towns, the Cape Ann YMCA looks to donors to make their vision for a new home a reality. Glen T. MacLeod made that vision come true, as one of the donors.

The new YMCA is currently under construction and will complete late 2020.

The 70,000 square-foot Glen T. MacLeod YMCA will sit on a 11-acre property that once was the home to the Fuller School in Gloucester. Visitors, members, and employees of the Y, will enjoy an eight-lane pool, a physical therapy studio, therapy spaces, locker rooms, a gymnasium with two wood floor full size courts, workout studios, a day care space, classrooms, offices, and a café. This new YMCA was designed with sustainability in mind and includes solar panels, charging units for electric cars, and cogeneration power systems.
